This page explains which cookies and similar browser storage omfkara.com uses.
What are cookies?
Cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) are small records stored in your browser.
What I use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sid |
Necessary cookie (HttpOnly) | Keeps you securely logged in. Not created unless you log in. | 30 days (admin 7 days) |
cc |
Necessary cookie | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
theme |
Preference (localStorage) | Remembers your night/day theme. If you don't allow preferences it only lasts while the tab is open. | Persistent (if allowed) |
omf-draft:… |
Preference (localStorage) | Auto-copy of the post you are writing so a browser crash doesn't lose it. Removed when you submit. | Until submitted (if allowed) |
okey-gid |
Necessary (localStorage) | A random secret code that recognises you in a room when you play 101 Okey as a guest. Contains no personal information. | Persistent |
okey-nick |
Preference (localStorage) | Remembers the nickname you typed for 101 Okey. Not stored if you don't allow preferences. | Persistent (if allowed) |
fx-streak |
Preference (localStorage) | Counts how many days in a row you visited for the "tip of the day" in the play room. Not stored at all if you don't allow preferences. | Persistent (if allowed) |
seen |
Necessary (sessionStorage) | Avoids replaying the intro animation in the same session | Until the tab is closed |
__cf_bm |
Necessary cookie (Cloudflare) | Bot and attack protection of the hosting infrastructure. Does not identify you and is not used for advertising. | 30 minutes |
| Analytics cookies | Optional | Not used by default. If analytics is added in the future it only loads if you consent. | Depends on the tool |
I use no advertising, tracking or profiling cookies. Fonts are served from this site, so no requests go to external services such as Google Fonts. The visit log does not use cookies either; the Privacy Policy explains what is stored (including the IP address) and for how long.
If a blog post contains a YouTube video
YouTube may use its own cookies when you play it. Videos are embedded via the more private youtube-nocookie.com.
How to manage your choices
- Use the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of any page to change your choice at any time.
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; you then won't be able to log in.
See the Privacy Policy for how personal data is processed. Questions: info@omfkara.com
