Backgammon (Tavla) is live on omfkara.com: play free online

A game I have been building is now live: Backgammon (Tavla) on omfkara.com. It runs in your browser: no download, no sign-up.

What you get

• Play the computer at three levels: easy, normal and hard.
• Play a friend. Press "Create a Room", set a password if you like, choose the match length (1, 3, 5 or 7 points) and the move time, and invite a friend with the link.
• Spectators and voice chat. People can watch a room, chat and talk by voice. The host can silence or remove a spectator.
• Chat, emoji and shake. Send an emoji or shake your opponent's screen; mute or report anyone who bothers you.
• Breaks and Auto. Each player has a limited number of breaks, and "Auto" lets the computer play for you.
• Full-screen on phones. On a phone the board fills the screen and is drawn sideways even if you hold the phone upright.

Fair play

The dice are rolled on the server and illegal moves cannot be played. If your connection drops your seat is kept for 10 minutes; if you do not come back the match goes to your opponent.
